Awards

IPN’s vision includes recognizing nursing excellence and leadership. To support that vision, IPN now has three annual awards. Two of the awards are given in the spring, at our May meeting, and one award is given in the fall.

The Leadership Award and Education Award are the spring awards and are presented at the spring program during National Nurses’ Week in May each year. The Leadership award is designed to recognize outstanding new leaders in nursing. The Education Award is designed to recognize new, outstanding educators, as well as those who are working to advance their nursing education.

The Career Contribution Award is given in the fall and is presented during the fall program and dinner. It is designed to recognize long term service and significant contributions to the nursing profession of over 20 years. The Career Achievement Award is not necessarily presented every year.

Exceptional nursing can be found in all areas of the profession, and anyone can now nominate colleagues for these awards. We will announce when the nomination process is open each year.
